Inzaghi Tipped To Start For Milan Against Real Madrid - Report

Milan extended their unbeaten run to six in all competitions at the weekend, when they comfortably accounted for the high flying Parma side by a 2-0 score line.

Their impressive run of late included a thrilling 3-2 triumph over Real Madrid in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu, despite many giving them no chance whatsoever of even attaining a result in that encounter.

They are set to do it all over again this week though, as the Rossoneri will play host to an out-of-sorts Spanish side, at the San Siro stadium.

According to the latest reports from Italy’s TMW, Pippo Inzaghi will get the nod up front, ahead of Marco Borriello, who grabbed a brace for the club at the weekend.

Inzaghi’s experience and record at this level cannot be questioned, thus the reason why the coach Leonardo is likely to utilise his legendary striker from the very first minute.

Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho will set up alongside the veteran, whilst Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and the captain Massimo Ambrosini will form a three man midfield.

Massimo Oddo and Gianluca Zambrotta, who was rested at the weekend, will play on the left and right side of defence, and Alessandro Nesta will return from injury to partner Thiago Silva in the centre of the back four.

Possible Starting XI v Real Madrid (4-3-3): Dida; Zambrotta, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Oddo; Ambrosini, Pirlo, Seedorf; Ronaldinho, Inzaghi, Pato.
