From 0-11 and kicked out of the Big East to actually getting a vote in both polls, with a 6-2 record and six-game winning streak.

Bowl eligibility.

"There was so much adversity," Temple coach Al Golden said in Tuesday's Philadelphia Inquirer. "This team is 8-2 in its last 10 games with these seniors, who started off 1-16 and lost every game by 30 points. Everybody said we stunk. Everybody said quit, get out of football, drop down [to Division I-AA]. Our kids just put their heads down and kept working.
