North Carolina State coach Tom O'Brien says offensive coordinator Dana Bible has been diagnosed with leukemia. Bible didn't travel with the Wolfpack in last weekend's loss at Virginia Tech and also will miss this weekend's season finale against No. 23 North Carolina. O'Brien says the 56-year-old Bible will be hospitalized for 30 days of treatment. ...More

North Carolina State Team Report Nov 23, 2009

As the season continues to go south for North Carolina State, the goals are getting smaller and smaller.

The ACC title is out, a disappointment considering the Pack entered the season as one of the favorites. A bowl game is out. After Saturday's loss to Virginia Tech, even a .500 record is out.

Fortunately, there's something left to play for besides pride: a victory in the season finale. Closing with a win against hated rival North Carolina would at least send the seniors off on a winning note and give Wolfpack fans bragging rights heading into the offseason.

For that to happen, the Pack would have to play much better than it did against the Hokies. This one was a mess early, starting with fumbles on the first two offensive possessions and continuing through a ...More
