Mississippi Team Report Nov 23, 2009

Saturday's result in Oxford was just another ho-hum, big-time day for Dexter McCluster—if not for the wild final seconds that ensured LSU fans would have reason to gripe about their coach.

Ole Miss won 25-23, surviving a last-minute surge by LSU, which scored a touchdown but failed on a two-point conversion. But the Tigers found new life by recovering the onside kick. A few plays later, it converted on a bomb to the 6-yard line.

But LSU didn't deem that there was enough time to send out its field goal team. With one second to play, it attempted to spike the ball, but it didn't have enough time for that, either.

The Rebels celebrated a second straight win in a game that was crucial toward bowl positioning.
