Matt Brown ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns, and Delano Green had two scores to lead Temple to a 47-13 win over Kent State, keeping the Owls on course for a Mid-American Conference title game appearance. Kent State did everything right in the first half at Temple. The Golden Flashes, seeking their first bowl bid since 1972, took a 10-9 lead into intermission. KSU quarterback Spencer Keith was at the forefront of the strong start, completing 17-of-29 passes for 237 yards.
Then, suddenly things changed when Keith was knocked out of the game with a separated right shoulder on Kent State's second play from scrimmage in the third quarter. The true freshman is ruled out for the regular season finale.
