In their most recent game, the Eagles gave themselves little chance to snap their lengthy losing streak and stun host Toledo. Eastern Michigan buried itself with four turnovers and several penalties that came at crucial junctures of the game.

What resulted was a 47-21 loss that exhibited many of the same characteristics as the string of defeats the Eagles have endured this season. Eastern Michigan plunged into a 16-0 hole early in the game, and never recovered. The Eagles fall to 0-11 overall and 0-7 in the league.

Toledo took significant advantage of Eastern Michigan's well-documented inability to hinder the running attack as the Rockets had two backs rush for more than 100 yards as they piled up 330 yards on the ground.

DaJuane Collins ran for two touchdowns and Morgan Williams rushed for another to lead Toledo to a 47-21 win over Eastern Michigan on Friday night. Williams finished with 155 yards rushing and one touchdown for the Rockets (5-6, 3-4 Mid-American Conference), while Collins rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns.

The Citadel tops Eastern Michigan 63-56 (AP)

Cameron Wells scored 24 points, including 17 in the second half, to lead The Citadel to a 63-56 win over Eastern Michigan in the first round of the Hispanic College Fund Challenge at Missouri State University. The Citadel (2-1) led through most of the game and was up 45-37 with 9:47 left before Eastern Michigan (1-1) went on a 15-5 run to take the lead at 52-50 with 4:42 remaining.

Western Michigan rolls past Eastern Michigan 35-14 (AP)

Tim Hiller threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as Western Michigan defeated Eastern Michigan 35-14 in Mid-American Conference play. Brandon West ran 25 times for 140 yards and a score for Western Michigan (5-6, 4-3). West set an FBS record for career all-purpose yards, and has 7,626 yards with one game left in his career.
