DAILY TIP

Sidehill Lies — Chuck Dunbar,PGA-Pebble Beach Golf Links

When playing a particularly challenging course, particularly a links style course, players will be faced with a variety of uneven lies. Many struggle because they are not able to predict what may happen. One tip to keep in mind for side hill lies is that the ball will tend to curve in the direction of the slope so you need to adjust your aim accordingly. Since the ground is uneven you will have a different bottom to the swing. The key to success is to take plenty of practice swings and see where the club bottoms out or brushes the turf. Playing the ball from that location in your stance will ensure better contact and result in better results.
